ProductCamp is a free, user-driven, collaborative "unconference" for Product Managers and anyone involved in building products. The concept was founded in Silicon Valley in 2008 by Rich Moronov. ProductCamp has since been brought to major cities across the world by local product communities.
Being a Product Manager is hard and it's not typically easy to get the coaching or training needed for the job. The “unconference” format will give you the opportunity to learn, share and network with peers in a way that is completely unique and collaborative. It's the ultimate "safe space" to try out something new, discuss ideas and grow and develop as a Product Manager.
For 2020, we have rebranded to Productcamp Southwest and have 3 teams organizing with a combined community of over 1,500 people.
ProductCamp Southwest UK is brought to you by the team who organise ProductTank Bristol, ProductTank Cardiff, & ProductTank Exeter. We are passionate about providing growth and development support for product management teams, so that we can all build better products faster.
In the morning, everyone will collaboratively create the agenda for the day. Either come prepared with something you would like to share (talk, workshop, roundtable etc) or put something together on the day.
You get to attend the sessions that interest you the most. If you want to move between sessions that's fine. And if you decide half way through the day that you want to run a session that's fine too.
All through the day you will have a chance to meet and learn from other product people. And the organising team is always there for support should you need it.
Lunch will be provided with vegetarian options, please let us know about any other dietary requirements and we'll do our best to accommodate them.
After ProductCamp we will be heading to a nearby pub for a few drinks and to continue the conversation. Please keep some time aside to join us and reflect on the day.
ProductCamp Southwest UK supports and encourages all people to attend and learn about product management. We are pleased that we are already a gender diverse group (check out ProductTankBristol).
In terms of neuro-diversity, we will provide a quiet "non-networking" space for anyone who needs five minutes to themselves - in particular people who struggle with networking, anxiety and sensory issues.
There is disabled access to all of the rooms. If you feel that we can do something to support you please let us know.
ProductCamp sponsorship enables this event to come to the Southwest, helping to cement our reputation as one of the most exciting tech hubs outside of London. This event contributes to attracting and retaining talent in the area.
